Promoting the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals through living environment
2024-01-10
In today's world, we face many global challenges, such as climate change, poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation. To address these issues, the United Nations proposed a global action plan in 2015- the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. Intended to guide countries around the world to achieve sustainable development in economic, social, and environmental aspects, thereby creating a better, fair, and green future.
Wang Shaoxiong, a member of the Human Settlements Professional Committee of the China Sustainable Development Research Association and the person in charge of the "Twelfth Five Year Plan Residential Pilot Base", noticed that housing is a lifelong pursuit for people. People often spend one or two generations of time and economic accumulation to build a house, which is a heavy burden. Some economically better families blindly build new houses, seriously wasting resources. He collaborated with the national team to design a "century old integrated house" that can bless 3-5 generations. New housing can build spiritual civilization for the population, material civilization for resources, and ecological civilization for the environment, carrying the context of Chinese civilization, integrating the characteristics of Chinese and Western gardens, and promoting people to actively achieve the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations. And a model house called "Centennial Harmony Mansion" was built in the "Twelfth Five Year Residential Pilot Base" in Nan'an, Quanzhou, Fujian, located at the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road.
Starting from the "daily needs" and "affordable" needs of the common people, the "Centennial Hezi Dacuo" fully considers the sustainable development strategy of national level population, resources, and environment. The construction of the residence includes various living scenes for selection, such as "farmhouse sun drying field", "vegetable garden", "career counseling monument", "exhibition corridor", "three-dimensional natural ventilation, solar power generation, solar hot water", "multifunctional hall", "central hall", "front pool", "wedding room", "warm small suite", "family forum", etc. The new residential functions are in line with the development direction of the times and history. In October 2021, the construction technology obtained 10 Utility Model Patent Certificates issued by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.
From 2013 to 2016, he collaborated with experts from the National Housing and Residential Environment Engineering Technology Research Center and collaborated with Tongji University, Tianjin University, Henan University, and other units to manage and operate the pilot base of the "Twelfth Five Year National Science and Technology Support Program Project - Research and Construction of Energy Self sustaining Residential Prototypes (Project Number: 2013BAL01B02)". Multiple new era residential schemes have been designed at the Quanzhou pilot base to adapt to different economic and climatic conditions on China's vast land. This building scheme is a continuously developed and preserved plan.
During the research and development activities, Wang Shaoxiong conducted in-depth research in multiple countries including the UK, Singapore, Japan, and Europe, as well as in multiple ethnic minority autonomous regions in China. He also had multiple exchanges with Chinese people from Singapore and Taiwan. Key research will be conducted on traditional Chinese architecture such as Yin Xu, Shanxi's "Wang Family Courtyard," "Qiao Family Courtyard," "Beijing Siheyuan," and "Minnan Wujian Zhang.".
RECP and the the Belt and Road countries have a long history of Chinese culture and share the same economic breath. It is necessary to let all people live in a dignified way in the world; Create a peaceful, warm, and positive living environment, and promote the continuous and continuous progress of civilization.
