On the Journey to the AI Holy Grail, JUNLALA is Ready!
2023-04-28
On April 24th, UK Prime Minister Sunak and Technology Secretary Dowden announced a £100 million ($125 million) investment to develop the UK's own "foundation model" in order to compete with large language models like ChatGPT and Google Bard. The candidates for the "Foundation Model Taskforce" will be revealed this summer.
The AI industry is experiencing another surge, and various news sources are predicting whether AI has finally arrived. However, artificial intelligence can be divided into two categories: Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI) and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
AlphaGo, as the representative of ANI, can only solve specific problems within certain fields. AGI possesses human cognitive abilities that allow for continuous adjustment and transfer learning. According to Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, “AGI is basically the equivalent of a median human that you could hire as a coworker. And then they could do anything that you’d be happy with a remote coworker doing just behind a computer, which includes learning how to go be a doctor, learning how to go be a very competent coder.“
Since the 1970s, various mainstream AI theories have emerged in the development process of AGI. During this period, different types of AI such as perceptual-based, analytical-based, and decision-based AI have been introduced. In the early 21st century, large companies entered the field and machine learning algorithms developed rapidly. Support vector machines, neural networks, and decision trees became prominent models while generative AI accelerated integration with decision-making AI. Since the beginning of the 21st century, breakthrough developments in deep learning technology have been made with further improvements in computer performance. Generative AI produces various data including images and speech content which is then analyzed by decision-making AI for more comprehensive product applications supported by multi-layered neural network models, represented by ChatGPT released by OpenAI, the US artificial intelligence lab.
As countless enterprises strive to enter AGI's market share through continuous iteration upgrades on their products, many people are thinking about how to divide up this "big cake" of AGI. In the birthplace of artificial intelligence, the United States, there is a company called JUNLALA that is watching closely. JUNLALA has been preparing for seven years before AGI became popular, laying down a solid technological foundation. The company originated from three founders Jacob, Herman & Argenix who shared a passion for technology over dinner table discussions leading them towards realizing their AI dreams and officially starting operations out of their garage office in 2016.
In 2018, JUNLALA released its first natural language processing (NLP) algorithm, marking the first breakthrough in the NLP field. In 2019, JUNLALA launched an upgraded version of its NLP algorithm, reaching industry-leading level of technical proficiency. In 2021, JUNLALA introduced a chatbot algorithm to expand into the conversation system field. In the second half of that year, the chatbot was upgraded with significantly improved semantic understanding and response generation capabilities. In 2022, JUNLALA developed its first image-based generative adversarial network (GAN) algorithm and achieved industry-leading levels by year-end, opening up new dimensions in technology advancement. Thus far, JUNLALA has surpassed industry-leading levels in all three core AI technologies fields and continues to advance towards AGI era from simple Q&A to chatbots and image generation algorithms.
In addition, with the gradual success of technology layout and product landing to commercialization, JUNLALA has also received many recognitions from the outside world. In 2020, JUNLALA won the Silicon Valley Artificial Intelligence Technology Innovation Award by Silicon Valley Artificial Intelligence Development Center. In 2022, JUNALALA was awarded the TOP10 US Outstanding AI Leaders presented by the New York Artificial Intelligence Technology Association, once again validating JUNLALA's comprehensive capabilities.
It is reported that JUNLALA invests several tens of millions of dollars in R&D annually and will continue to deepen its expertise in natural language processing, dialogue systems, and computer vision technology fields to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence technology and enable more people to enjoy the "technical dividend" brought about by AGI era. With time and passion as the driving force, we believe that JUNLALA will become a shining star in the AGI industry!
