A dairy producer recently upgraded several production lines with the CYCJET B900 Continuous Inkjet Printer, improving coding reliability and simplifying daily maintenance.

The Challenge

The customer produces milk, cream, cheese and other dairy products on multiple packaging lines. Their previous printers had been running for years and gradually required more maintenance. Different packaging materials also meant different coding requirements, making consumable management more complicated.

The manufacturer was looking for a printer that could deliver stable performance on high-speed production lines while reducing maintenance and operating costs.

The CYCJET Solution

After evaluating the application, the customer selected the CYCJET B900 CIJ Inkjet Printer.

The B900 uses Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) technology and supports high-speed, non-contact printing on labels, sleeves, plastic lids and flexible packaging. Its dual viscosity detection system continuously monitors ink condition and automatically adjusts solvent concentration, helping maintain stable print quality during long production runs.

With a maximum printing speed of up to 380 m/min, the printer easily met the production line requirements. It also supports text, production dates, batch numbers, barcodes and QR codes, making it suitable for modern food traceability applications.

Another advantage was the B900's Smart Sleep function. Even after a long shutdown, the printer could quickly return to production without lengthy cleaning procedures, reducing operator workload and minimizing downtime.

Results

Following installation, coding quality became more consistent across all packaging materials. The production team also reported fewer printer-related interruptions and less routine maintenance.

Using one printer platform simplified daily operation while reducing consumable management. The 10.4-inch touchscreen and intuitive interface made message editing and job switching much easier for operators.
